KraveBeauty is launching in bricks and mortar stores for the first time. The ‘slow skin care’ brand will hit shelves in 39 Sephora Southeast Asia locations across Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore from April. According to a report published by WWD, the brand makes its debut with 6 SKUs.
Fenty Beauty to launch on Chinese market
Fenty Beauty is set to launch on the Chinese mainland. The launch coincides with Founder Rihanna’s appearance on the cover of Vogue China and was announced on the singer’s YouTube channel. The brand launched in Hong Kong, Macau and Seoul in July 2019 but its Mainland debut has lagged, presumably due to the pandemic. The brand will be sold in Sephora and, according to a report published by The Daily Mail, e-commerce platform, Weibo.
CMG Pharmaceutical to launch in Vietnam
CMG Pharmaceutical has signed a deal with local distributor An Thinh Phat to launch on the Vietnamese market from May. The South Korean cosmetics firm will collaborate with Home & Mall Shopping to produce a dedicated line of beauty products and nutritional supplements for the market.
Health Ministry revokes notification of three cosmetic products found to contain poison, says D-G
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has revoked the notification of three cosmetics products because they were found to contain scheduled poisons, and not allowed to be sold in Malaysia. Its director-general, Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan in a statement today said the products were Toner Treatment EWSB. which has been detected to contain hydroquinone and tretinoin; N Glow EWSB (hydroquinone, tretinoin and betamethasone 17-Valerate); and Glory Cosmetics Facecream (mercury).
